How much time do you spend commuting and how does it affect you?

Commuting is boring. Sad but necessary. Researchers have even shown that long commutes can be downright harmful. Erika Sandow, cultural geographer at Umeå University and Kristoffer Mattisson, PhD in public health sciences at the department of occupational and environmental medicine at Lund University, have both done research in the area. They state that long-distance commuting takes important time away from other things and that all this often has social consequences.

Many commuters feel that they find it difficult to put the puzzle of life together, are less socially active and that they run a higher risk of suffering from stress and sleep difficulties. Both boring and in some cases harmful. Nothing new under the sun there perhaps and of course there are more sensible things to spend your time on. So how do you do it?

We have taken a closer look at the trip Nacka - Hötorget. A distance that with a Vässla 2 takes 15 minutes compared to SL which takes a full 45 minutes.

With a Vässla you save an average of one working week per year thanks to faster and smoother commuting. With a Vässla you avoid queues, stress, crowded buses, platforms and subway cars. You earn time, important time (!), which you can spend on more fun and useful things.

So, what do you do with your newfound hours? Gyms? Hanging out with the family? Netflix? Cruising around and discovering the city with your Vässla ? The possibilities are endless!
